Thread: Button tooltip property having no effect?

    Button tooltip property having no effect?

    In 9.7, button parameter table for obj.createButton had 'tooltip' property added (amongst others), but I can't see it having effect anywhere. Doesn't show on hover, near label, on the object etc. Am I using it incorrectly or is it a bug?

    Hey, here is a test script I did, it has the tooltip working just fine. C3 is a card, and this script lived in Global

    Code:
        button_parameters = {}
        button_parameters.click_function = 'startTimer'
        button_parameters.function_owner = Global
        button_parameters.label = 'Start'
        button_parameters.position = {0.0, 1.0, 0.0}
        button_parameters.width = 500
        button_parameters.height = 500
        button_parameters.font_size = 100
        button_parameters.font_color = {1, 0, 0}
        button_parameters.tooltip = "Oh wow a tooltip"
        c3.createButton(button_parameters)

    I just tried and it did not work on me on a Custom Model, but it starts working if I uncheck the 'tooltip' property on the parent object (that the button is on, right click -> Toggles -> Tooltip).

    Nice, wondering why the tooltip wasn't showing until I clicked the button.
