    Texture Atlases for Custom Content

    Hello,

    I've recently gotten TTS, and am looking to make some high quality custom content.

    Now It's common knowledge that combining textures into an atlas is more efficient than having a texture map for each individual item.

    So my question is, does anybody know if TTS's content management system is intelligent enough to detect and reuse common textures?

    I'm slightly concerned because the interface implies a new material is created for each and every custom mesh.

    if you use the same image link for them all, then they will all use the same single texture file, and not download it a dozen times, or however many models you have using it. It will just have that one copy of it in the cache.
