Thread: Forum Session Timeout

    Forum Session Timeout

A lot of the time when I'm responding to a post - when I click 'Submit' I've already been timed out. And then sometimes when I log back in, it doesn't succeed in getting me back to the response I was trying to post. I've taken to copying my responses to clipboard before clicking 'Submit' to avoid the frustration of having to recreate my entire line of thought from scratch. But that's just a workaround.

So, would forum admin please consider lengthening the session inactivity timeout? The better solution would be to prevent the timeout from expiring while a member is still actively typing in a posting.

I've extended the session inactivity timeout. Do you go idle in the middle of posting? I think the default was 30 minutes prior, so it's been extended quite a bit.

Thank you muchly Kimiko. Hmm - seemed like it was more like 10 minutes. But sometimes I do take a long time to get the wording of my posts to say what I mean and not the jumble my fingers have slapped down.
